Goodbye diapers Forever!
Camden is officially potty trained. He had some odd fear of #2 on the potty but worked past it after a couple days of dancing around. I am happy, he is happy.

Sunday at Fire Station #7
Today was a BIG day in the eyes of 2 little boys.
We went to visit our dear friend "Uncle Bill" at his Fire house.
We got a tour of all the engines, trucks, compartments, the station, and the back of his ambulance where we listened to Cam's heart on the monitor.
he was quite sober and nervous the whole visit but has talked NON STOP since we got home about how he is going to be a fireman when he gets big and strong and he is going to work with Uncle Bill.
Brand Spankin' new Engine.

I am an Auntie.....for the 5th time!
Congrats to Kevin, Jess and Jhett.
The newest Shepherd darling Kenna Mary-Vi was born March 2nd at 8:41 pm and was 6 pounds, 13 oz 19 inches
Here are some things I love about her already and we have yet to meet. . .
for those who know me I have a little complex with numbers. I like them to have an order or pattern etc. Call me OCD but Kenna must understand me. I'm not crazy. I just like patterns.
She made her appearance on 3-2-10
She completed (for now anyway) the symmetry of names.
Now there are 2 K's and 2 J's in that household,
another very patterned and symmetrical thing.
AND Her name is 5 letters, so is Jhett's and they BOTH have a double letter in them. Good going Kev and Jess, my OCD is happy.
Lastly, WHY? She's cute #1, and well look at this picture...
I told Jeff she didn't have any clothes yet so I had to go shopping!

Peeks into my week
As I left the kitchen Sunday night to go to bed, I turned to survey the work to by done the next day and found myself staring at this little assembly of things on the counter. They remind me of several things I have to be grateful for. . .
Friday night flowers from the husband I adore who seems to also adore me.
After a long hard day at work he thinks of buying me flowers and a card.
Then there's the silly grass growing egg shaped things Erin sent to the boys that remind me of her (not in appearance per-se) but in the way she thinks of the boys. I can see her picking them up at the store and adding them to the box of other little things she knows the boys may or may not get a kick out of, still she sends and calls and keeps her little nicknames for the boys that I find heartwarming. And it's always the simplest little thing they have had so much fun with. I am thankful for the reminder that simple, basic and silly are good things. And having a sister like Erin is also a very good thing.
And then not to be forgotten, placed among the most important things, the flowers and gifts from Auntie Erin is the ever protective Buzz Lightyear. Space Ranger, Defender of the Universe. Reminding me that the two most wonderful little boys live in this house, tucked sweetly into their beds dreaming of their favorite toys I am sure.
Inside the house are all good things, aside from Mt. Hugolaundry. Outside however, there's a lake forming in my backyard. Wait, did we move back to Seattle and no one told me? Where have my parents and sister been hiding?!
And just because it made me laugh, our little sweet cheeks. He thinks he's hiding from us after his bath to avoid bedtime.

Things heard around Casa de Shepherd
Mom, Can we go pet the babies? (Referring to wanting to go see Trenton and Emma and give them loves - both boys say this)
Mommy, you drive the Camry? So Daddy has the Venza at work? (Cam's latest infatuation with the model of our cars)
I also realized I post alot of their little sayings on my FaceBook account and forget to put fthem here. So before I forget....
Mama, your Face!!! Me: What's wrong with my face? Cam: It's BEAUFITAL!.....Mama why you cry now? I sorry. Me: No sorry. You made me happy. Cam: Happies don't cry.
Jeff to Camden "What I want most is for you to be a good boy." Cam replied, "But is so hard for me."
"No look at me Mommy I getting into trouble all by myself!" - Camden
"Mom, can you carry me?" "No Carter, My hands are full." "ahhhggg -oh - whine - sigh - but I can't carry MYSELF!" No you can't possibly carry yourself - but that would be a pretty cool trick.
January 6th -
My son is bilingual. He speaks english and screams pterodactyl. Seriously.
January 3rd -
I really love my family. Even when Carter tells me "I will NOT say I love you because I will NOT go to bed and you can't make me go to bed without your I love you."

Randoms and Fat Lips
I let the boys turn over the couch to make a fort. (Actually I turn it over for them - but, I know, I allow it) So it shouldn't be surprised when someone (i.e. CARTER) hurts themselves by falling off the top of their fort. Result: Lots of tears, a couple drops of blood and a fat lip.
Oh so sad Carter.
All smiles prior to the mishap
Cutting the grass errr, hair. Whatever it is.
Erin sent this in their Valentine's box and it's truly a hit. Every couple days their guys need a new cut and the boys have so much fun playing barber.
The view from my room looking into the kitchen slider.
Two boys just talking.
