Children's Museum Everett

Everett has a great Children's museum. They have a dinosaur rooftop where kids can excavate and play on the playground. This day it was a bit to cold. 

The boys loved the construction area.

Learning to ride

The boys decided to learn to ride bikes without training wheels.

Carter took off like a champ.

A common sight. No two boys ever loved a Papa more.

Christmas Crafts

This year for Christmas I decided to be crafty. I really love projects and most of all I love my glue gun and Burlap, So off I went. 

Here are a few examples:

Christmas Eve

This is the year we started the "Elf on the Shelf" tradition.

Our elf, appeared about 2 weeks before Christmas and reports back to Santa every night on the goings on in the Shepherd house. 

He was so effective, all I had to do was look at him and the boys went into best behavior mode. 

He made several funny appearances, reading a book, hanging from the tree, making snow angels in the sugar, spying from the skylight.

 Papa and Grammie had dinner and read bedtime stories.

We put out cookies for Santa, Apples, Carrots and "Celerine" aka Celery for the reindeer.

and then visions of sugarplums danced in their heads. . . 

 The next afternoon we went to Papa and Grammie's for more presents. 

We had our own LEGO Christmas, but for some reason I don't have pictures right now.

A Cold December Day at the Zoo

As we prepared for the holidays, we took one day, bundled up and spent a couple hours at the zoo. 

No pictures of any real animals, I realize. just statues and "human monkeys"

From my front porch looking in . . .

I arrived home from work one evening to find this. Lego construction at it's finest. All three boys huddled in 2 sq feet of space together. Warms my heart.

Work Holiday Party

Once a year, it's kind of nice to get all dolled up and go out with your coworkers. 

Especially when you have a handsome hubby on your arm.
