8 WEEKS OLD!!!!

Hey, It's my 8 week birthday . . .

I got a present from Robert and Janet Beale today. My very first Piggy Bank! It even had a dollar in it . . . I am rich!

10 points to . . .

Anna Banana and Auntie Doris guessed right. Carter was sleeping on Jeff and when Jeff put him in his crib he looked down to see Carter had left a little foot print to remind him he was there.

Figure this one out . . .

10 points for anyone who can figure out this picture . . .

These were the days . . .

Well I knew the time would come, today was my 1st day back to work. Only 2 days a week but today felt like an eternity away from Carter. By 2:00 I was wishing I could curl up with him for an afternoon nap. He stayed with Grandma and Auntie Kari today and tomorrow he gets to play with Auntie Shanda. He is in good hands but I sure missed him.

Hey!!!!

Carter has started talking this week. No official words, though I swear he said "hi" to me the other day. I was in the kitchen on this day and his yells got louder and louder until I came into the room and said "Hi Carter!" Then he said "HHAAAAAIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!" Close enough.

Lil' Cowboy

After a day of smiling and cooing at Mommy . . .
I was all tuckered out. But boy was my outfit cute!

Daddy Time

Carter enjoys a little Daddy time while Patch wonders when it will be her turn.

My boys, both equally handsome.

Red Hair?

Jeff and I still can't decide what color his hair will be. Some say he is getting red hair like his Uncle Kev, some days it looks blonde or brown. Guess we will wait and see.

I'm NOT tired . . . or am I?

Carter was SOOO sleepy yesterday, but just refused to take a nap . . .

He yawned and yawned . . .
and stretched and rubbed his eye . . .
but never actualy fell asleep.

Little Stud

Sunday, we dressed Carter all up for church. He looked like such a little man. . .

. . . then he decided he'd rather be a baby. I don't think it was the outfit just all the fuss we were making over him.

Happy Birthday Karen!!!!

Sunday was also Karen's birthday. We had the family over for a BBQ. So many people, such a small house. As this family keeps growing we may want to start looking for a larger place.

Bree is the center of attention. She now rocks her stuffed animals, (water bottles too) and says "here kitty kitty, arrrrfff! arrrrfff!"

The Many Smiles of Carter

Carter loves to smile lately. He has also started to giggle a bit. These are just a couple glimpses of happy time we were able to capture.

Best Buds

Dane and Carter have several matching outfits. These outfits say Daddy's Little Helper. So Amanda and I dressed them up while our guys worked in the yard. Then we took them outside to pose with their daddies.

Dane puts his hand on Carter's head as if to say, " Don't worry buddy, this photo session will be over soon."
Dane kept trying to hold Carter's hand. It was so cute. Carter didn't really know what was happening but Dane was sure intrigued by our little guy.
"Come on Carter, sit up like a big boy like me." -DaneOur Karate Kids.
"Okay Dane you take 'em on with your feet, I will take 'em with my hands. If I can get control of them that is." - Carter
Check out the smiles!

"Hey Dane, how do I get my fingers in my mouth? I always get this pacifier instead."
Little Sluggers just chillin'

First Swimming Lesson

Auntie Amanda bought me this cute swim suit so I just had to try it out! It fits perfect.

Here I am with Mommy. The water temp is about 87 which is nice and warm but I am still not sure I like this.
We slowly worked our way into the water . . .

He held on for dear life . . . He liked Bree's floaty ring, still a little small for it but it helped me feel like he wasn't so slippery.
Pool time lasted about 10 minutes, then he got bored. . .
Grandma bundled him up in a towel . . .and he cuddled with Auntie Kari. Tough day.

A Trip to the Doc

Monday, Carter went to the doctor for his 1 month well check (a little late since we were on vacation) He gained 1 lb and 1 ounce. He now weighs 10 lbs and 8 ounces. He is 23.5 inches long. He is in the 75% for weight and the 90% for height. Looks like he will be a tall boy. The Doc said he looks very healthy. Next appointment he has to get his shots! He won't be as happy after that visit I am sure.

MILESTONES
The day he turned 5 weeks old we got a ton of smiles. Since then he smiles quite a bit and coos when talked too. He loves the sound of voices and music. He is intrigued by Auntie Kari playing the piano. Jeff says he turned over the other day but I won't believe it until I see it. I am however being very careful not to take my eyes off of him while he's on the changing table and our bed just in case.

Miss Katie K!

I also got to meet my Auntie Katie. She is Mommy's best friend from highschool. I don't know what high school will be like yet but I sure hope I make a friends like her.

Auntie Erin

I got to spend lots of time with my Auntie Erin. She gets to start a new job on Wednesday being a nanny for a little girl that is 10 days younger than me . . .
Auntie Erin, I better stay your favorite and you better introduce me to that girl sometime!

Different Day, Different Beach

On Thursday we went to Mommy and Daddy's old date spot. There is a lighthouse and we watched the ferry boats come and go. It was a lot colder than Las Vegas so I was all bundled up in my carrier.

A nice couple followed us onto the beach just to get a peek at me. Sure is tough being cute. Papparazzi comes in all ages I guess.
Just couldn't resist another snooze.
Nice view but I could care less, I am content just snuggled up to Mommy.
