See Loren and Shanda's blog for some cute pictures of the boys.
We had a fun afternoon at Lake Las Vegas, feeding the ducks and playing in the sand.
I must say Auntie Shanda is the best. I con her into coming over when she isn't in school and should be studying just to entertain us. She is a trooper sitting in the car while I run errands so we don't have to lug the boys into stores for only 2 minutes.
Then she helps me take the boys fun places and chases Carter around so I don't have to.
She's always willing to change the not-so-pleasant diaper or feed and cuddle a fussy child.
Carter and Camden think she is amazing, and frankly so do I.

2 weeks already!

Still a sleepy head - we aren't complaining.
Carter is loving his baby brother.

During tummy time today he couldn't figure out why Camden wouldn't look up at him.
Then he clapped and danced to entertain Camden in his bouncy seat.
Loving laundry baskets, they make a perfect fort.

Bonding, Shipping, Auntie Erin, All Clean!

Carter loves to sit with Mommy and Camden and read or play with Camden's toes.

Carter is super sad that Auntie Erin left, he is going to ship himself to her.
Auntie Erin cuddle time.
Sleepy head
Carter threw up on Saturday night, but was determined to help clean up right after.

Sickies, Blogger Down, Bad Shipping, Erin left, Molars stink

Ok, I have some complaints today. No pictures because blogger won't upload them. . . . which is one of my complaints.
Second complaint . . . . In our lovely house, excluding Camden thankfully, everyone has the stomach flu . . . where's the unwritten law that in between the pukes I get to make toast, bottles, do laundry, find shoes, change diapers, change sheets for the 6th time this week. . . and who rubs my back while I lean over the toilet . . . or who gets me something to drink? or prepares me a meal I "think" I feel like eating but then decide I don't want anything after all???
Fun Fun!
On top of the sickies, Carter is getting all 4 molars at once. How unfair is that??? Poor guy wandered the house aimlessly whining all day yesterday. Along with teething comes a slight fever, not so pleasant diaper changes, no desire to eat. . . in combo with the stomach bug is just great!
Erin left Sunday night, (actually Monday morning because Alaska Airlines in never on time . . 4 HOUR DELAY . . .uh-oh I feel another complaint forming) I miss her terribly already. Carter was looking at her picture yesterday on the fridge and actually pointed to her and said "Peanut" . . which is what she calls him. I then cried cause I miss her and cried cause Carter is too cute sometimes.
Last complaint for the day, then I will be pleasant . . . UPS is stupid.
I shipped pottery to MR for his auction. 7 Pieces broke. I had it insured. They say it isn't covered because it wasn't packaged properly . . . it had 4 inches of foam around the entire box, padding, packing peanuts . . . what more do they want . . . a steel cage? Maybe I will package myself with the pottery next time and just hold onto the pieces for dear life. and WHY did then they allow me to insure it pay extra $$$ for that insurance and then not cover it?????? HMMMMM I will be fighting this one.
Also IKEA! I had a dresser shipped to me, top was damaged . . . I called IKEA they were very nice and shipped another top to the dresser to me. UPS delivered it with all 4 corners broken off..... ok that works. Then IKEA offered to send another. They said they would pad and package it so nothing happened. It arrived broken in half . . . Called IKEA again and they said they won't ship anymore, Nothing they can do. I was kind until the lady asked me "Well, like a, UM, A, UM, how LIKE damaged it the top?" I responded... with " WELL, UM LIKE, UM, A . . . DOES IT MATTER HOW DAMAGED? IT'S BUSTED DAMAGED, BROKEN, WORTHLESS!!!!! DAMAGED IS DAMAGED LADY!"
So does anyone want a $300 dresser without a top??? ARRRGGGGGGG!
I am going to unleash Super Bill on them and we will see what happens.
Now for pleasant thoughts.
Camden still sleeps a lot, wakes for 30 minutes to eats every 2-3 hours, that's it.
Carter tries to be very helpful. Takes things to the trash, finds his shoes (mismatched however) gives kisses, likes to play with Camden's toes, cleans the floor etc. Loves to play with his tractor and farm animals.

New pictures

Camden had his 1st Dr. appointment today. He is doing well, in the 25% for height and the 50% for weight. He had lost 7 oz when we left the hospital due to not eating. He has a bad sucking reflex and we are working on it. He had already gained 4 oz back so he weighs 7lbs and 6oz now. We also had an issue with our blood types not being compatible which can lead to severe jaundice but all was well today and nothing to worry about. I have been waking him to eat at night which I am not complaining about. . . I just wonder how long this kid is gonna be so sweet and quiet.

Camden sleeps a lot, when he isn't sleeping he looks bored. . .

. . . and decides to look for his tongue . . .

. . . got it! He looks like a little turtle.

Sleepy eyes

Tired Daddy, Tired Camden.
More sleeping . . . seriously, I will try to take some pictures when his eyes are open!

Camden Pictures

Our 1st Sunday Morning meeting as a family of 4.

Carter and Camden meet . . . Carter is worried about his binky. Doesn't care much about Camden, except when he is in Mommy's arms. Then he gets a bit jealous.

Carter's fakey smile - "Yes, I am happy to be a big brother.... I think"

"My what dark hair you have, Camden"

WHERE'S CAMDEN???
After the hospital and such, I had lots of laundry to do, Can you find Camden?

He's here somewhere, I think.

Auntie Amanda visited in the hospital and we have been over to visit them at their house yesterday. Cute Picture of her and Camden.

Sleepy head, Camden hasn't been very alert since he was born.

This is about as much of his eyes as I have seen.
Picture of us ready to leave for the hospital to have Camden on Thursday morning.
This was us just a year or so ago, leaving for the hospital to have Carter on a Thursday morning.

Camden comes home!

Camden enters the world stubbornly after twleve hours,
he weighs in at a healthy 7lbs 9oz and measures 20 inches long.

By day two of all the poking, prodding and tests of various kinds, Camden finally calls for a timeout. Check out those long skinny legs and big feet. Gonna be tall like his daddy!
This is how Camden has spent most of his first 24 hours, hardly a peep from this hairy, sleepy head! (It's not a wig!)

Finally after two long days at the hospital, the nurses (or were they really CIA?) decide Camden is cleared to go. It seems he poses no immediate threat to society. What they don't know is that he has a big brother (aka. Partner in Crime) waiting for him at home!

Thanks for all the phone calls, meals brought to the hospital and so many offers to help we couldn't even cash em all in!

Adorable . . .

Yesterday, I was waddling out of the grocery store and a truck stopped to let me crawl to my car . . . which by the way was parked in Egypt. (I.E. first stall in the lot) The shopping trip which would normally take 20 minutes had already taken an hour because of my slow pace and I hadn't had the energy to even do my hair that morning. I was hot and sticky and already tired at 10:00am.

Well back to the truck, I am scooting along this big truck and I hear the window roll down and out leans a woman and she yells, "You are the most adorable pregnant lady I've ever seen." I looked around but I was the only whale on site, I thought "Could she possibly be talking to me . . . Is she blind? . . . she can't be blind and driving right?" and she said " Yeah, you!" smiled and drove away.

I came home and looked up the word "Adorable" according to Webster's Dictionary, obviously I have not understood the meaning of this word my entire life. She could not have used adorable to describe me.

Yesterday, I was anything but adorable (meaning according to Websters: very attractive or delightful; charming) Here are a couple words that WERE in my vocabulary "exhausted, large, swollen, tubby, icky" Certainly, adorable doesn't fit alongside those.

However, all day, I smiled at the compliment, and every time I smiled Tater tot would kick and kick, as if to remind me HE is the reason I suddenly feel so very attractive, delightful; charming. I felt better, happier, not so tired and worn, not so nervous about that scary delivery, not so icky.

Moral of the story: Compliment random people randomly and it will stick with them all day, even the next day maybe. . . and they will post it on their blog. And they will FEEL adorable.
