Sunday was an adventure. The afternoon was beautiful so we drove about 45 minutes SE to the Pima County Fair.
The kids are watching the Sea Lion show. Their expressions sum up how I felt too.... SEA LIONS? At a Fair? In Arizona? Something strange about that.
It was a mildly entertaining show. Halfway through, the boys said, "Let's go find some animals."
So we found some cute goats, and sheep, chickens and pigeons and bunny rabbits.
Cam was SO PROUD to be feeding this little baby goat all by himself.
This is interesting to me.... a club.... for pigeons? I thought they were like the rodents of the sky?
BBQ Corn. Cam felt EXACTLY the way I did!
Carousel and Corn. My 2 favorites.
For some reason, Carter always wants to ride the rides but as soon as we go to get on he gets all scared. Cam is tough and pretty much goes along for any ride. Here I am basically holding Carter on the ride. He lightened up once it started but the anticipation is torture for him.
Carter did like the helicopter ride from beginning to end. With just a little nervousness to start. Cam decided he didn't want to ride.
Watching Carter on the helicopter. Cam was being so silly.
And then the sun set and we were on our way home.
To give you a glimpse of Tucson and it's County Fair attendants I will leave you with this little story.
As we were walking out, there was the usual police in uniform patrolling the grounds. A woman and her 2 kids walked by.
