Pictures Galore!

Couple weeks ago, Jeff's Cousins Ted and Heidi were here from Australia. We went to the Bellagio Gardens.

Ted and Heidi

The Hansen, Jackman family. Minus Loren of course.

Then Erin Came to visit, not a single picture of her trip here except when we went to California for a night. Jeff let me slip away for a night with Erin to visit my Uncle Steve, Aunt Sandy and Cousins Ryan and Sara. As we drove to CA, this truck passed us and I laughed so hard I almost had to pull over.
Company name: UTI (I think Urinary Tract Infection)
Big Yellow warning: (Frequent stops)
I know, not that funny, but I though it was.

A VERY NICE dinner at Morton's Steakhouse
Then it was off to Seattle, the land of free babysitters (Grandma and Grandpa and Auntie Erin)
Jeff and I had a great date night. Went to a restaurant called ?????, watched a great show with great friends.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELISE!

Dave and Elise

Elise - Did you get your cane out yet??

Before you knew it, It was Christmas Day.

My parents, Erin, Matt, Jeff, Me and the Boys opened presents together.

Carter couldn't believe his eyes, a new truck!

As we were getting ready to leave it started to snow.

Well, we are finally home. I should be working but I'm posting instead. I now feel a responsibility to all our loyal fans who I see logging on each day to look at the cuties in our house. (Kidding, I'm not that stuck up) But we did get some fun pics in Seattle, Thought I'd share.

Seahawk Sunday

Jeff took Bill to a Seahawk Game Sunday for his Christmas present.
Here they are all dressed and ready to go!
Carter and Camden got dressed for the fun too!The game was just exhausting, apparently.

Visiting Seattle and Missing Daddy

Well, we are in Seattle since Saturday and loving time with Grampy and Grammy. Carter now says "Gammmpaaa" and follows Grampy all over the house. When Bill comes home from work he runs to the top of the stairs and waits to get his hugs. Talk about melting your heart.

I thought Camden had an ear infection from the plane ride, he was fussy, wouldn't sleep etc and so I went to Urgent Care today and found out he just has a little cold. No ear infection. Yeah!!!!!! Plus, he has gained 13 oz in 15 days! He now weighs a whole 10 lbs 14.5 oz

He is actually doing better now, I finally got a ok night sleep, in between tossing and turning because I really can't sget good sleep without my hubby.

My parents and Erin have been sooooo super helpful with the boys. I literally could not be doing this alone for 10 days. Bath time, feedings, changing diapers and entertaining boys that are fussy from being out of their element. That said, we are certainly missing Daddy who will be joining us on Saturday. Carter points to all the pictures around the house of "Dada" and I know he is missing him like crazy, because he is driving me crazy! But someone had to stay home and make $$$ to pay for all the toys I have bought Carter this holiday. Poor Camden gets a lump of coal I guess, not cause he's bad, because what do you buy a baby who is only entertained by his older brother or who has every hand me down you can think of? I don't know how we are going to get home with all the loot from Santa and his elves (I.E. Erin, Mom and Bill) Speaking of Santa, we saw him today and Carter was not happy with him! Guess last years cute smile has disappeared to be replaced by tears and clawing the life out of Mommy and Grampy. The photographer is going to photoshop him into the picture . . . technology is amazing, can't wait to see how they turn out - we will see them tomorrow!

No new pictures right now, this one will have to do, it's Carter exactly one year ago - -
Time flies right?
I will try to get some from my parents camera in the morning, my camera died . . . good timing huh?

More to come soon.

New Favorite Picture

Looks comfy . . .

Seriously . . .

Sometimes being a mom is beyond challenging. I have a new found respect for my own mom who always seemed to have it together. I on the other hand am on the verge of insanity today. It started about 3:00am, up and down the stairs 5 or 6 times. Camden refusing to sleep. Jeff put him in bed with me sometime around 6:45 where he slept until 7:30 when Carter also awoke. Both demanding my attention simultaneously. Diapers were changed, Carter was given his usual sippy cup of milk and cup of Cheerios. I proceeded to feed Camden and looked up to find Carter taking a handful of chewed up soggy Cheerios out of his mouth and rubbing them into the carpet. Why you ask? He was helping mommy clean for meeting of course. (That's sarcasm) After I finished with Cam I started cleaning the now dried ground in Cheerios from the carpet. Meanwhile, Camden is lounging in his bouncy seat and Carter has become awfully quiet. I turn the front room corner to find him standing on the kitchen table trying to grab the kitty sitting in the window 2 feet away. I remove him from said table and remind him "tables are not for climbing on." I pat myself on the back for not freaking out yet about the Cheerios and table climbing as it's only 9:00 am. 9:00 ahhhh the wonderful breakfast time. Carter is like an alarm clock, 9:00am hits and its "eat eat eat" which he uses a tone more like" now now now" I put him in his seat and he has a yummy breakfast of pancakes, banana and milk. All seems to be well. I vacuum the remaining Cheerios mess and Carter starts his usual DONE DONE DONE song. I clean him up, and he starts playing in an empty diaper box with his motorcycle and train. Cam has become fussy and requires some love, a happy moment in my day. But I can't calm him, now he's screaming, I fly through the living room like I'm a ballet dancer trying to calm the cries. He burps and all is well again. I go to the kitchen to start cleaning breakfast dishes and then to put some water in the fridge and I hear coughing from Carter. Poor guy got the sniffles on Saturday's train ride and now it's draining into his throat giving him a slight cough at times. I then notice the cough is increasing in intensity and I proceed around the corner just in time to catch projectile vomit on my feet. Then again in the box he was playing with, then on the train, I put my hands out . . . like I'm going to catch it . . .!!!! . . . that didn't work so I scoop him up to get more lovely puke down the front of me, then down my back because in an effort to not get it all over the front of me I move him mid spew and the rest ends up down my back. We make it to the bathroom sink and I realize that is no help. I turn on the shower and check out Carter, trying to figure out what the sudden barffest is about. He seems fine . . . then again maybe not. Pukes again. 5 times in 5 minutes, that's a record. I realize on the last hacking he is actually gagging on lovely phlegm and it kept making him wretch. After having just eaten breakfast it all easily came back up. Yum, regurgitated Cheerios, milk, banana and pancakes. Good thing I hadn't had a chance to eat breakfast yet, as my gag reflex kicks in at that point. So we showered for 45 minutes, trying to clear the smell from our noses and icky feeling from our bodies. I let Carter play a little more in the shower while I cleaned up the hallway and bathroom and started loads of wash that will continue into the night. Camden is now screaming. I can't pick him up for the mess between me and him and Carter still in the shower needing supervision. Not to mention a wet heavy towel on my head because I won't get to brush my hair before it dries in a tangled mess. I manage to get a little organized, calm Camden and get Carter at least diapered before he runs off to play . . . . in the box of vomit and towels and smelly clothes I left in the hallway waiting to be washed and thrown out. Back to the shower. Jeff calls to ask how the day is going. I want to reach through the phone and . . . and . . . and .. .throw up on him to tell you the truth. I'm on the verge of melt down. Keep in mind I am supposed to be getting the house ready for Wednesday night meeting. Ha! Ok, now it's 11:00 and chaos is diminishing. Carter says night night and that's my cue to take him to his room for nap time. We are settling down when I hear Camden starting up again. Back down stairs, grab Cam and back upstairs to put Carter down. Carter now doesn't want to nap, I insist, I need nap time today. He starts screaming at me. I say "time for night night, see you in awhile, I love you." As I shut the door Carter says, "UVVVV YOU NIGH NIGHT. " So seriously. . . . I'd get pucked on all day for that one moment. (But don't ask me to volunteer for it tomorrow)

Camden

Mr. Camden had his 2 month appointment today. He is 23 inches long and 10 lbs 1.8oz. Growing so fast. He smiles and coos, holds his head up for a short time and has very strong legs the Dr said he is right on track.
Not that I thought he wasn't but, seriously, this kid sleeps so much I wondered if he was meeting those "milestones" as quickly as Carter did.

Shower Video

This is for Auntie Erin, she said she almost peed her pants when she saw the pictures of Carter in the shower. Maybe with the video she will actually lose it . . . .then she will have to shower.

He He He

Cutie Pie Cam

He started smiling at me FINALLY!
His 1st official smile was at Grandma Vi on November 14th, 2 weeks ago in Wednesday night meeting. For some reason he just looked up at her and grinned from ear to ear. I didn't think she was funny looking, Apparently Cam thinks so.

Potty Time!

Carter has decided he wants to be a "big boy" some of the time. Every once in a while he says "potty" and runs like a crazy man to the bathroom.
Most of the time it's too late but he sits on the potty anyway.

Thanksgiving Day

Uncle Steve, Aunt Sandy, Ryan and Sara (aka Cubby #1) came for the Thanksgiving Day celebrations.
They arrived shortly after we were finally able to persuade Carter to get out of the shower.

Aunt Sandy was in charge of turkey . . . fresh from some hoity toity store.

Uncle Steve named himself "The Official Dishwasher"

Ryan became the Babysitter, entertaining both little ones.

Lots of hard work in the kitchen . . . (notice in the first picture it was light outside, now dark)

made for lots of hungry tummys waiting to eat. . .

and the end result was a fabulous dinner!

Butter in the shape of a turkey . . . what will they think of next?

Perfect turkey in the shape of a perfect turkey. . . 18lbs for 6.5 people . . . we were stuffed!
The Petersen Four (Minus Uncle Steve) and Shepherd Four

Ryan and Sara were incredible with the boys!
Kept 'em out of my hair for most of the day!

Carter loves Uncle Steve
Camden turned 7 weeks old
He got cuter and cuter . . .
Cousins and 2nd cousins.
The Happy Family.

What Carter does when you aren't watching . . .

Thanksgiving day started with a rush to get food prepared. I thought I'd warm up the shower while I pulled a pie out of the oven. When I returned 2 seconds later I found Carter in the shower . . . in his jammies . . .

Normally, I don't let him in our shower
(with the tile, I'm soooo afraid he will slip and bump his head)
but it was a holiday so the normal "rules" went down the drain.

He would've stayed in there forever. But his little hands got all pruned and I had stuff to do.
